SHATTERED STREETS

Finding Inspiration in Every Turn

The inspiration behind

SHATTERED STREETS, SILIENT CRIES

By: SRB De'Poet.

The inspiration for Shattered Streets, Silent Cries comes from the unsettling reality of modern day England a nation once known for its sense of community, now grappling with rising crime, broken families, and a failing system that leaves its most vulnerable forgotten.

As I walk the streets, I see the signs of a society unraveling. Families once bound by love and tradition now crumble under the weight of economic hardship, neglect, and the absence of strong moral guidance. Our youth, lost in a world that offers them little hope, turn to crime as a means of survival, while the elderly who once built this country with their hands, live in fear, too afraid to step outside their doors.

Homelessness has become an epidemic, with doorways and alleys transformed into makeshift shelters. Among them are our veterans men and women who served this nation with honour, only to be discarded and left to fend for themselves. How did we allow this to happen? How did we reach a point where those who sacrificed the most are treated as though they are worth the least?

This book is my cry for change. It is a poetic reflection of the pain, injustice, and silent struggles that many endure. Through verse, I seek to give a voice to the voiceless, to tell the stories of the forgotten, the abandoned, and the lost. *"Shattered Streets, Silent Cries"* is not just a collection of poems; it is a call to action, a plea for restoration, and a reminder that we must not turn a blind eye to the suffering around us.

If my words can stir even one heart to compassion, one mind to awareness, or one hand to help another, then this book will have served its purpose.
